Just returned back to UK from a fantastic stay in Sri Lanka, we stayed 8 nights at the beautiful Hikka Resort situated just a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of Hikkaduwa. We were a party of 7 so everyone had a choice of bedrooms each one being immaculate and spacious, all with en suite bathrooms, the host Chanaka was there to meet us after he'd arranged our transport from the airport we were driven by minibus by a lovely driver Sampath, very safe and professional, Chanaka showed us around and introduced us to our housekeeper Changrika, a lovely woman who will prepare breakfast and dinner if you wish, her fried rice was the best. The pool was amazing and in the early evening you will see Peacocks and eagles will bathe in the bird baths, if you're lucky you will see monkeys in the surrounding palm trees. All in all it is a beautiful place, I would recommend Hikka Resort to anyone wishing to visit Sri Lanka.

We stayed at the beautiful Hikka Resort from 15th-23rd June and we could not recommend the villa enough.
Before our stay I had communication with Prasad from the get go, this ensured that any questions that I had prior to arrival where answered. I knew from this point onwards that our stay was going to be stress free.
Our point of contact during our stay was Chanaka, who was attentive and ensured that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From organising trips for us, to making sure we had everything we needed alongside are talented cook Chandrika who cooked us the most beautiful breakfast/lunch/dinner.
The villa is beautiful, it has everything you need for your stay and felt very secure. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean and were all cleaned during our stay, the AC system was fully functioning and the pool was also cleaned during our stay. We used the beautiful tranquil pool every single day and the temperature was just right.
We would also like to give a huge shout out to Sampath our driver, who picked us up from the airport and took us to and from our day trips, he made our travelling so much easier and we couldn’t have done it without him.
The villa is about 15-20 minute walk to turtle beach and takes even less time to reach the first of the restaurants and bars, if the walk became too much in the heat a tuk tuk was always available which was great as the week we visited it was 32 degrees but felt like 39 degrees.
We would highly recommend Hikka Villas to anyone who is thinking of staying in the hikkaduwa area, we had the most unforgettable 8 days which were made even better by Chanaka, Chandrika, Sampath and the welcoming bar and restaurant staff that we met during our stay.

Good pool and very nice house, plus a last minute upgrade all for 24 quid a night between 7 of us (there was plenty of room)
